Welcome to the Crazy Journey…

Hey everyone, welcome to my blog!

Let me introduce myself… my name is Lara (pronounced Lada), but lets not get started on that!  My husband, and I run a small commercial plumbing business just outside of San Antonio, TX. My husband and I met about 7 years ago, at a local gym of all places. We have been married for 6 years as of this past April. Our marriage has been far from perfect, but I would I wouldn’t change it for the world!! It had taught me so much and I love my man something fierce, even though he might think differently. My husband is my rock, and I don’t know how I would have ever survived the last few months without him.

These past few months have been more than hectic for us. We started the year with both of my parents in and out of the hospital for the better part of the year. Ultimately, losing my mother cancer. Let me just add something here… CANCER SUCKS!!! For those of you who haven’t been touched by this monster thank your lucky stars! Nothing can prepare you for watching a loved one suffer through this disease. Losing my mom has by far been one of the hardest things for me to deal with in my life EVER.

Through all struggles with my parent’s health issues my husband and I had started our fertility journey. I know…. we had great timing, right? Well technically, we’ve been on it for about 2 years, almost 3. However, we attempted our 1st round of IVF during the chaos, which left us with zero viable eggs out 13 eggs that were fertilized. We literally found out in the same week that my mom was going to pass away, and we lost all our eggs. Talk about a rough week!! Let me tell you there was not enough whisky in world to drown the pain I was in!

Needless to say… our life is far from perfect! Now we are just trying to navigate this new season of life, along with all of its unknows. Like how to take care of my aging dad who has relied solely on my mom for 46 years for everything and I mean everything! Run our little business, start a family, raise the family we do have, remodel a house, and anything else that might popup at any given moment.

So, if you can relate to the never ending disorder and confusion of life or maybe you need a little inspiration to keep you going, because let’s face life can suck sometime and really take a toll on you I urge you to stick around and see where life will take us next. Right now, I’m pretty much just holding and winging it hoping I get a few things right on the way!

Thanks for taking the time to check me out! Talk to you soon!
